Eminem will open the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards! He’ll be giving viewers the first TV performance of music from his latest album, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace).” Em last performed at the Video Music Awards back in 2022 with Snoop Dogg, where they offered up a metaverse-inspired rendition of “From the D 2 The LBC.” The artist is up for eight nominations this year. If he wins just one…he’ll officially become the artist with the most wins by a male artist in the show’s history, breaking his tie with Peter Gabriel. Other performers include Shawn Mendes, Anitta, Karol G, LL Cool J, and many many more. The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards airs this Wednesday at 8PM, hosted by Megan Thee Stallion.
Beetlejuice, who is now officially on TikTok, has a message for people on their phones. We already know that "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" had a huge opening weekend, but how huge? The long-awaited sequel ended up delivering the third-best opening of 2024 and one of the biggest September openings of all time. The $111-million opening weekend was only topped by "Inside Out 2" and "Deadpool & Wolverine" so far this year, and also managed to capture the title of September's biggest PG-13 opening ever. $111-million is a lot of money for a movie whose director (Tim Burton) didn't actually set out to try and make a lot of money.
In The Bronx, New York, the owner of a pick-up truck didn’t take kindly to his vehicle getting towed. Video of the incident shows the unnamed driver threatening to fight the tow truck driver, and eventually hopping into the front of the tow truck…with his vehicle attached. While driving away, the man also managed to damage just about every car on the street as his towed pick-up scrapped against them while people in the neighborhood watched in horror as they saw their cars get damaged. Reportedly, the truck was being repossessed due to lack of payment, but now this dude has several more cars to pay for.
