First Energy Switching To Smart Meters In Northeast Ohio

A three-year plan to modernize electrical equipment, First Energy is replacing the meters with smart meters. The company will have access to real-time voltage controls, enable automated meter readings, and may even enhance their ability to respond to outages faster and more efficiently.

The residents will have access to more detailed information on the energy usage to make better informed decisions on how to manage and control energy consumption.
