While we currently have the Lorain & Geauga County Fairs happening around here, the big one, The Ohio State Fair just wrapped up in Columbus with a record sale for a calf, now a BIG female cow named "Cruiser". Who claimed $225,000 for Dayton area 14 year old Ryleigh Egbert. The previous record "Sale of Champions" was 85 grand. Now call me a wimp but how do teens do this every fair season? Raise an animal from birth to sale? I'd be in pieces every summer. Yes I do eat meat, I just don't wanna know how he/she got to my plate after knowing it for a few years. Then ashes to ashes, dust to Montreal seasoning on top...WDTN-TV in Dayton has the story of Ryleigh & Cruiser HERE. You have a great day & thanks for stopping by.
