Two northeast Ohio natives were in the ring for some big fights over the weekend. First on Friday, we had Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson on Netflix with all the streaming issues. It wasn’t much of a fight with Iron Mike showing his age, Paul won it easily.
And on Saturday night, an actual fight for UFC 309. Champ Jon “Bones” Jones vs Cleveland’s Stipe Miocic. Sadly, Stipe lost the title fight.
But then said to Joe Rogan after the match that he is retiring, and we just witnessed his final fight.
There were some rumors that could be his last fight on Saturday. If he would have won and taken the belt from Jon Jones, then who knows, things may be different. But as for now, we won’t see Stipe fight again.
