In a highly anticipated rematch, Joey Chestnut defeated Takeru Kobayashi in a 10-minute hot dog-eating contest on Labor Day. The event, streamed live on Netflix, saw Chestnut consume a record-breaking 83 hot dogs and buns, surpassing his previous world record of 76. Kobayashi, a six-time Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest champion, finished with 66 hot dogs.
The competition was a culmination of a decade-long rivalry between the two eating legends. Chestnut, the reigning champion of the annual Nathan's contest, has now secured his 16th title.
Actor Rob Riggle and former WWE star Nikki Garcia hosted the event.
