The first floor of a 13-story building in Youngstown, Ohio exploded yesterday, sending several people to the hospital.

While Enbridge Gas Ohio said the cause of the explosion wasn’t known, the Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency said in a post on X that a natural gas explosion was to blame.

One person has been confirmed dead following Tuesday afternoon's explosion at Youngstown's Chase Bank building.

Police say the body of a 27-year-old Chase Bank employee was found in the rubble at around 1 a.m. Wednesday. The victim's name has not yet been released.

Crews remain on scene early Wednesday and Police say major roads into downtown remain closed after the blast.
