Almost 7,500 storm responders have been working on the power since four tornadoes tore through Northeast Ohio last Tuesday.
Crews have replaced 400 poles, almost 200 transformers and hundreds of feet of cable. With all that, some throughout Cleveland are still without power.
FirstEnergy and Cleveland Public Power both announced that 98% of their customers have been restored as of Tuesday evening. Hundreds though are still left in the dark.
Clearing trees and other debris will prove a challenge for getting the power back on for the remaining customers.
