Slick and slushy roads have caused more than 300 area schools to close or delay Thursday.
Overnight ice and freezing rain are impacting the Thursday morning commute.
Several districts including Akron Public Schools, Elyria City Schools, Fairless Local Schools, and more. In addition, colleges and universities such as Cleveland State University and Kent State University announced a change in schedule for students and staff.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for all of Northeast Ohio. For most, the advisory begins at 10 p.m. Wednesday and continues through 10 a.m. Thursday. The weather service is calling for freezing rain and ice.
