The original animatronic model of the little alien from Steven Spielberg's 1982 sci-fi classic E.T. recently sold for $2.56 million. However, you need E.T for the bike to fly.
And in more movie prop news.
The iconic Ferrari from the classic movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off just sold for a cool $337,500 — even though it doesn’t actually drive. The replica Ferrari 250 GT was used in the scene where the car crashed through the garage window to the woods below. The prop car has all the Ferrari finishes, and it was rebuilt as a display piece after production ended.
People will pay anything for a piece of movie history.
