It looks like our former skipper is trading Lake Erie for the Ohio River. Reports are indicating that the Cincinnati Reds are set to hire former Cleveland Guardians/Indians manager Terry Francona. Tito, who is 65, retired last season as the leader of the Guards. When Francona stepped down on Oct. 3, 2023, he said: "I need to go home and get healthy and see what I miss about the game. I don't foresee managing again." Now it looks like that is all about to change.
Tito left Cleveland after 11 seasons as the winningest manager in club history, with more than 900 wins and six postseason berths, including a World Series run in 2016.
