Northeast Ohio, along with most of the country, is getting hit with an arctic blast this week, bringing the coldest air we’ve seen so far this season.
A strong arctic cold front started moving in Sunday, meaning Northeast Ohioans could see wind chills ranging from 10 to 20 degrees below zero through the middle of the week.
The last time we had two straight days with high temperatures under 5 degrees was back in 1993.
Also, the last time we had a 48-hour period with average temperatures as cold as what we’ll see Tuesday and Wednesday combined was in 1994.
A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for all of Northeast Ohio through Wednesday morning.
Temperatures will finally start to rebound by the end of the week.
