One person is dead and five people are injured after a shooting at a New Albany warehouse Tuesday night.
According to authorities, the shooting happened at the KDC/One building at approximately 10:20 p.m.
The incident appears to be a “targeted type of attack,” New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones said in an update just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.
A motive for the shooting has not been released and no altercation happened before the shooting, Jones said.
Jones added that a firearm was recovered at the scene; he did not say what type of firearm it was.
New Albany police confirmed one suspect, Bruce Reginald Foster III, has been identified but is not in custody. A spokesperson at the scene said officers do not believe the suspect is still at the New Albany facility. Jones said Foster III, who is listed as 6-feet tall and approximately 175 pounds, is likely the only suspect.
