Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, died Thursday at 54. “Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie,” reads a family statement. “They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.” Presley was hospitalized Thursday morning after suffering cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California, just two days after she attended the Golden Globes with her mother Priscilla Presley. Born on February 1st 1968 in Memphis, nine months after Elvis and Priscilla’s wedding, Lisa Marie later inherited her father’s mansion, Graceland, after his death -- and then his entire estate when she turned 25. Presley had a series of high-profile marriages, including Michael Jackson in 1994 and Nicolas Cage from 2002 to 2004.
And a huge rock lineup has been announced for the return of the Sonic Temple festival at Crew Stadium in Columbus. The “Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival” is coming back with a bang on Memorial Day weekend after a three-year hiatus.
Some of the headliners include KISS, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, and The Foo Fighters. The future of Foo seemed in doubt, with the tragic loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins last year. Despite that tragic loss, Foo Fighters have released more dates for their first live shows of 2023.
More than 50 rock artists and bands will be performing at Sonic Temple. A general begins today at noon. Click here for more info.
