Bruce Willis, who retired from acting last year due to aphasia, has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a type of dementia that often affects people at a younger age. FTD causes personality changes, speech difficulty, and motor impairment. Willis' family has released a statement thanking people for their support and highlighting the need for awareness and research for the disease. Rumer Willis also shared the news on Instagram, and the family hopes that media attention can be focused on bringing more attention to the disease; there is currently no cure for FTD.
