'Morning Quickie': Last surviving founder of Lynyrd Skynyrd died yesterday, & Travis Kelce on SNL

Gary Rossington, the last surviving founder of Lynyrd Skynyrd, died yesterday at 71.

He had suffered from numerous heart problems in recent years and underwent quintuple bypass surgery in 2003.

Rossington escaped death a couple of times. He had a major car accident in 1976, and he survived the band’s infamous plane crash in 1977.

At recent shows, Rossington would only play for part of the concert and occasionally sat out entire shows.

Cleveland Heights own Travis Kelce made his hosting debut at “SNL”, after winning his second Super Bowl.

He brought his family with him, mom (Donna), dad (Ed), and brother Jason. In Travis’ monologue, he even mentioned how Jason was a better child growing up.

Later in the show, the two Kelce brothers even performed a sketch together.
