Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 brought in $114 million in its domestic box office debut. That ranks as the second-biggest opening weekend of the year, behind another current Chris Pratt blockbuster, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which premiered with $146 million. At the international box office, Guardians added $168 million from 52 markets, bringing its global tally to $282 million. The Super Mario Bros. Movie slid to second place at the domestic box office, with $18.6 million. It’s the highest-grossing film of the year with $518 million domestically and $1.15 billion globally.

The coronation of King Charles occurred over the weekend. King Charles' coronation ceremony drew an audience of about 20 million UK viewers on Saturday. That's down from the 29 million who watched the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September of last year.

And Taylor Swift’s Nashville concert last night was delayed because of inclement weather. Fans had to shelter-in-place for nearly four hours, the storm advisory at Nissan Stadium in Nashville eventually lifted at 9:25 p.m. and the show went on. Many fans were already in the stadium when lightning strikes nearby required officials to delay the show.
