The Mega Millions lottery is about to give away the biggest jackpot in its history, there’s just no guarantee that it’ll happen tonight. No jackpot winner was bought for Friday’s drawing, bumping the jackpot up to $1.55 billion for this evenings drawing. The biggest jackpot in the game’s history before this was $1.537 billion in October 2018. The jackpot tonight will be the third-largest in U.S. history, only lagging behind two Powerball jackpots in 2016 and 2022.

A San Francisco-based water reuse technology company funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has created OneWater Brew, which turns recycled wastewater into beer. It’s National Dog Month and a new report reveals some stats about our beloved pups. JustAnswer.com, an online service that connects people with experts, including veterinarians, for real-time help and answers to questions, analyzed more than 200-thousand online vet and pet expert conversations with dog owners over the last year. These are some of the top doggy data findings: Pitbulls are the most popular dog breed in the U.S., followed by Chihuahuas and Labrador retrievers. Bella is the most popular dog name, with Luna and Max coming in second and third. JustAnswer vet consultations are often from pet owners worried about something their dog ingested, with chocolate being the most common concern. Poison, medication, grapes, raisins, bottles, chicken, cups, cookies and gum are also commonly eaten by dogs, leading their owners to call for help. It turns out, a lot of dogs accidentally eat THC edibles. Texas is the number one state for questions about this, followed by California, New York, Florida and Michigan.
