The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Watch for several Northeast Ohio counties that will take effect starting on New Year's Day.
According to the NWS, the watch for Cuyahoga, Lake, and Ashtabula counties will start on Wednesday morning and continue through Sunday morning.
The NWS says "heavy lake effect snow" is possible, with total snow accumulations of at least six inches possible. Travel could be very difficult, with hazardous conditions potentially impacting the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
