**Update 5/12/21 8:00pm - The launch has been scrubbed tonight so the rocket can be inspected after coming in contact with a launcher support. Next window will be no earlier than May 14th 8:02pm**
4th time's the charm (possibly) when trying to launch a really expensive science project. NASA's KiNET-X rocket was scrubbed last night, the night before, aaaaand the night before that.
The next attempted launch will be Wednesday May 12th, no earlier than 8:06PM. With clear skies in the forecast for NEO tonight, look up and E/SE, you may be able to catch a glimpse of it! The rocket will launch from NASA Wallops in Virginia, and keep in mind there is a 20-30 second delay from the live stream at the launch pad to viewing here in Cleveland.
The goal of the mission is to study how energy and momentum is transported between regions of space that are connected magnetically.
This will help scientists better understand things like Auroras, how they are formed, and their movement from place to place.
