The six inmates who sued the New York Department of Corrections last week because the planned lockdown of prisons in the state on Monday wouldn’t let them view the eclipse are going to get their chance. The inmates argued authorities were denying them their religious rights, and their lawyers announced yesterday an agreement was reached. The inmates will drop their lawsuit, and the staff at Woodbourne Correctional Facility will provide them with eclipse glasses and allow them to see it. The facility isn’t in the path of total eclipse, but at least it’ll get pretty dark anyway.
