Expectations are high in Ohio today as recreational marijuana sales officially begin. Almost 100 dispensaries will be able to start selling today, but there’s no count of how many will actually be ready to open for the first day. The first round of certificates is going to 98 locations around the state. New laws passed by an overwhelming majority of voters in November allows adults 21 and over to purchase and possess up to 2.5-ounces of cannabis and to grow up to six plants per individual or 12 plants per household. Legal marijuana purchases in the state will be subject to a 10-percent tax.
