'Morning Quickie": Usher danced & roller skated on the Super Bowl halftime stage

At 15 minutes, it was the longest halftime show yet

Usher put on a clinic at the Apple Music Super Bowl 58 halftime show, singing, dancing, and roller skating through decades worth of hits. Usher may cap this historic performance by marrying Jenn Goicoechea. After dating for five-years, they obtained a marriage license in Las Vegas.

Usher started out on the field of Allegiant Stadium, dressed in all white, and singing “Caught Up.” Throughout the performance, he continued to build, adding a marching band, pole dancers, and everything in between.

He didn’t do it all on his own — tapping some notable collaborators to join in on the action. Alicia Keys popped up to perform “If I Ain’t Got You” before duetting “My Boo” with Usher. A little later, Jermaine Dupri appeared to hype up the crowd before a performance of “Confessions.”

A little bit later, H.E.R. came out for a musical interlude leading into “Bad Girl” and “U Got It Bad.” That led to a grand finale including “OMG” featuring Will.I.Am. Lil Jon who performed “Turn Down for What,” and “Yeah” with Ludacris to cap off the set. He finished things off by declaring that he had “Brough the world to the A” [Atlanta].

If you’re looking to relive the magic, or just catch up on what you missed, like previous years, the NFL is offering a “live visual album” on demand through streaming platforms, including the halftime show and the pre-game performances from Post Malone and Andra Day.
