Bon Jovi was just hours away from an appearance and a performance in Miami when he received the news that he’d tested positive for COVID-19.

According to 7News Miami, Bon Jovi was supposed to appear at the Loews South Beach for a fan event that would feature an acoustic storyteller performance, question and answer session, and a photo-op. Despite the positive diagnosis, a source told Variety that “Jon is fully vaccinated and feeling fine.”

At almost the exact same time as news trickled in about Bon Jovi, Variety reported that Bryan Adams had also tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, Adams was forced to pull out of his performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Adams was scheduled to perform in the medley of songs honoring Tina Turner, but had to cancel after the positive test.

All participants in the Rock Hall induction ceremony were required to show proof of a negative COVID test regardless of vaccination status, Variety reports. Additionally, a representative for Adams told the outlet that he was tested prior to arriving in Cleveland and is currently showing no symptoms.

As a result of his positive diagnosis, Keith Urban stepped in for Adams and performed a duet of “It’s Only Love” with H.E.R.
