Music has a special way of elevating the spirits of all those in earshot, and the Texas Rangers have been taking their season to higher levels with the help of hallowed hard rockers Creed.

Recently, pitcher Andrew Heaney of the Texas Rangers revealed that the team had been using Creed’s uplifting music to pump themselves up before taking the field in their ALDS playoff run against the Baltimore Orioles. So, Chris Statzer, the DJ who runs the Rangers’ sound system at their home stadium at Globe Life Field in Arlington, made sure to have it cued up for fans to sing along during Game 3 on Tuesday.

And it seems to have worked out after Statzer blasted Creed's “Higher” into the stadium with the song's lyrics on the giant video monitors, and the crowd giving the Rangers the jolt they needed to secure a 7-1 win. "This team has done some incredible things already. I’m just like, man it’s always the -- for lack of a better word -- the weirder things that make things click," Statzer says. "That’s what it’s all about, man, having fun and enjoying the game of baseball.”

Starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi is all in for the win with Creed soundtracking their postseason journey, telling MLB reporters he's "glad [the fans] are taking onto it because any time we can get them more involved with our games, it’s incredible.”

The Texas Rangers entered their postseason as wildcards and have since prevailed in all games, taking them to the American League Championship Series for the first time since 2011.
