Auditions for the 20th season of American Idol officially wrapped Sunday night and ABC saved some major star power for the final night of behind-the-scenes auditions.

Appearing on last night’s episode was young singer, Ava Maybee, the daughter of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith.
While Ava never seemed to mention her father in the edited audition, judges appear to have been told of her famous family as Lionel Richie referenced them when he gave her a “Yes” for a golden ticket.
Maybee’s audition might come as a shock to those who are aware of her Dad’s stance on the show. The Red Hot Chili Peppers have never given the show permission to use any of their songs.
“We’re going to go against your family,” Lionel said, welcoming the 20-year-old to the next stage of the competition.
Regardless of his views on the show, Maybe’s father clearly supports his daughter’s musical endeavors and promoted her music in the past.
Idol’s Hollywood week starts tonight on ABC at 8PM ET / 7PM CT.
