A recent round of back-and-forth statements from both Van Halen lead singers Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth has fans wondering if a truly amicable reunion could finally take place.

Joining veteran interviewer Howard Stern last week to discuss his upcoming 2024 Best of All Worlds tour, which will include a setlist chock-full of Van Hagar-era hits, the “Red Rocker dropped what sounded like an invite to the rest of the surviving Van Halen members. "If Alex Van Halen wants to jump up, if David Lee Roth wants to come out and join us, come on, mother***er," Hagar said while announcing the tour. "You are welcome. This is about Van Halen."
The Van Halen News Desk reports that DLR himself has taken the bait, appearing to fully accept Sammy's invitation by simply saying, "I'm ready to go. Let's do this." While this certainly sounds as if Hagar broke off a pretty big olive branch to hand to Roth, the site adds they have it on "very good authority" a formal invite is still forthcoming.
