If you ever received advice from Prince, you better take it to heart. Turns out, Jack White did exactly that.

White was a guest on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and detailed his one and only meeting with Prince.
Naturally, his one meeting with Prince came at an after party. “He was incredibly nice,” White said. The two conversed about the guitar, to which Prince offered White a bit of advice.
“No one will ever tell you how to play your guitar,” Prince said. When Colbert asked White if he’d ever allowed anyone to tell him how to play his guitar, White joked, “No, but one of your sound guys told me to turn down earlier, so maybe…”
White is currently in the midst of his Supply Chain Issues world tour and kicked off the tour by getting married on stage.
The first show of the tour took place in White’s hometown of Detroit as he brought out his girlfriend, Olivia Jean, on the stage to perform “Hotel Yorba.” What happened next was a surprise to everyone.
“It’s been such a great day, mind if we get married right now?” White said. Third Man Records co-founder Ben Swank then joined the couple on stage and made the marriage official.
