Many athletes have attempted to crossover into the world of entertainment over the years, though not many have been successful. Plenty of those attempts were in the music industry, but it would be hard to find one that was a hit. Still, that hasn’t stopped John Daly from attempting it, as the professional golfer recently revealed he is releasing an album with Willie Nelson.

John Daly may be a rock star in the world of golf, but it seems the former PGA champion wants to prove he can be just as successful with a career in music. Daly’s debut album, Whiskey and Water, is due out March 11, and includes music icon Willie Nelson, according to Outsider. “We’ve been friends forever. I know ‘Whiskey and Water’ is going to be played on the radio, because Willie’s on it,” said Daly.

Many golf fans are excited to hear what Daly’s album sounds like. Of course, plenty are already making jokes about the golfer’s attempt at music stardom. Hopefully the album doesn’t end up on a list with other failed albums by athletes.
