In a new clip teasing his interview with Tucker Carlson, Kid Rock made the declaration and when Carlson asked him why he thinks that, Rock gave a succinct response. “Cause I don’t give a f***,” he said.
“I’m not in bed with any big corporate things. At the end of the day, there’s nobody I’m beholden to… No record companies, no corporate interests, no nothing. You can’t cancel me,” Kid Rock said. “I love it when they try.”
The interview comes ahead of Rock’s 12th studio album Bad Reputation, which is due for an April 6 physical release. The record marks his first since his 2017 album Sweet Southern Sugar.
Kid Rock is set to hit the road for a massive 2022 tour as he’ll be bringing along Grand Funk Railroad, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin, and Foreigner as support acts.
The tour will kick off on April 6 in Evansville, IN and will take Kid Rock all across the country before he wraps things up with a hometown show in Clarkston, MI on September 17th. Check out a full list of tour dates and grab tickets here.

Rock previously spoke out and indicated that this upcoming tour may be the last big one he does. "I’m not trying to sell tickets, 'oh this is the last tour, you better come out and see me,' but it very well could be for the unforeseen future," he said in a video posted to Facebook.
"At 51 years old, it’s not getting any easier to do jumps and carrying on on-stage. But I’m really keeping myself together, I’m getting prepared mentally, physically, working out every day, trying to eat healthy, all that bulls***, 'cause I want to be just top notch. I want to be at my peak for this tour, because I really don’t know for the unforeseen future if we’ll do a big tour again."
