The 80th annual Golden Globe Awards took place last night, honoring the best in film and television. That’s after taking a year off amid controversy surrounding the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's lack of diversity. It all went down last night in Beverly Hills, California. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael was the host, and anytime you have one of these award shows, you’re still gonna get a Will Smith joke.
The jokes didn’t stop there, here was Eddie Murphy when he accepted what they basically call the lifetime achievement award for an entertainment career that spans five decades.
Winner for Best Motion Picture went to The Fabelmans. Steven Spielberg also won Best Director for that film. The Fabelmans beat out, Avatar: The Way of Water, Top Gun: Maverick, and Elvis
By the way, the guy that played Elvis, Austin Butler, won Best Actor in a Motion Picture for his portrayl of The King.
