In an unfortunate turn, the 'Blizzard of Ozz' will no longer be a part of this fall's highly anticipated Power Trip festival in the California desert, with Ozzy Osbourne choosing to bow out of his scheduled performance due to his still fragile health.

In a “painful” update, Ozzy shared with fans that he has officially made the difficult decision to bow out of the upcoming Power Trip festival set for October 6 through 8 in Indio, CA. “My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward,” he explains.

“Unfortunately," Ozzy adds, "my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-a**ed.”

Osbourne also revealed in his post that there will be another band announced to take his place beside the festival’s other headliners AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and TOOL. "They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed,” he says.

Early in 2023, Ozzy chose to put a halt on his normally hectic touring schedule to focus on his health and family, promising to appear for one-off concerts in the future instead. "You can’t retire from this game. It’s not a job, it’s a f**ing passion," he later explained. Best of luck to the 'Prince of Darkness' as he continues to get himself well enough to be back in front of fans sooner rather than later.
