Ringo Starr gets by with a little help from friends Jack White, Sheryl Crow, and Billy Strings

One week following the release of his debut Country album, Look Up, former Beatle, Ringo Starr, is teaming up with some talented friends for a CBS concert special and it’s all for a good cause.

Starr is recording the Country-leaning special titled Ringo and Friends at the Ryman on January 14 and 15 at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. Joining him on stage will be guests including Jack WhiteSheryl CrowBilly Strings, Rodney CrowellMickey GuytonEmmylou HarrisSarah JaroszJamey JohnsonBrenda LeeLarkin PoeMolly Tuttle, and the War and Treaty.

“I’m excited to hear my songs done in a country vein and to play with this incredible group of musicians,” Starr said in a statement. “It will be two nights of peace, love and Country music.”

While the special will be filmed in Nashville, some proceeds from the show will benefit California wildfire relief efforts. Additionally, proceeds from the release of a planned all-star performance of “With a Little Help From My Friends,” from the show will benefit the American Red Cross’ California wildfire relief efforts.

The special will air via CBS and stream on Paramount+ later this  Spring.
