Billed as “the website for Genesis collectors,” the Genesis Museum undertook a massive project of restoring audio and video footage from the band’s January 10, 1973 concert at the Bataclan in Paris.

The brand new 4K restoration is absolutely stunning and provides perhaps the best glimpse of this era of Genesis that’s ever been made available.

“This was a really big project,” the Genesis Museum wrote on YouTube.

“Not that the source was bad, the source was actually very nice. However, the source had many anomalies, but enough "clay" was there to mold this into something even better.”

The film captures one of Genesis’ classic lineups, which featured both Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins in tow. According to Setlist.fm, the show only lasted five songs, meaning the performance of “Watcher of the Skies” was left out.

A Genesis reunion featuring Phil Collins, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford was scheduled to take place in 2020, but has now been pushed back to Fall 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The shows will mark the first time Genesis has taken the stage together since 2007.
