Even though we only have one venomous snake in Michigan, living out in the country I sometimes have concern about snakes in my house. Actually the garter snakes I see outside probably control mice. But the story about a guy finding 40 snakes in his air condition strikes up my concern again. He also found a few in his house.
A while back I heard another story with a lady concerned about the safe garter snakes seen around her home. After her home was examined they found hundreds inside her siding. UPI
