It's the wedding proposal that's being talked about around the world.

Monta Homes from Detroit didn't get down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend Erica Murphy, also from Detroit. Instead, he wrote a note on a torn piece of paper asking her to marry him. He left it with the ring and a candle in the bathroom for her to find. She found it the next morning, said 'yes'! and then posted the picture online. She never expected it to go viral!

"There were quit a few hecklers," Erica says. "But I thought it was incredibly sweet. I’d never seen his handwriting before. I think that writing notes is a lost art, we don’t do that anymore," Erica explained to JJ & JoAnne Tuesday morning.

The bride-to-be just moved to Atlanta two months ago for a TV reporting job.

"Over these two months, he’s been flying here every other weekend to make sure I’m okay, treating me like a college student, filling up my refrigerator, paying half my rent. This man has been grandiose in every other way," Erica explains. "I had had a really tough day the day before. They had sent me out on a really tough assignment, so I was in a really 'crap-tacular' mood. And so I think what happened was, he was really trying to make sure my day, the next day, started off on the right foot."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
