What a novel idea!
Being an avid reader, it only made sense to Arkansas high schooler Hailey Skoch to make a prom dress from her favorite childhood book series.
Hailey took pages from Harry Potter books and fanned them out to create a spectacular, head- turning dress. It took four days of cutting, fanning and glueing to complete the dress. Hailey posted pictures of herself in the dress on Instagram, quoting a perfect line from Hermione Granger: "I mean, it's sort of exciting isn't it, breaking the rules?"
Hailey said the books helped her get through her parents' divorce. Her mom, who is a costume designer, helped her put it all together.
