She walks two and a half miles to and from work because she doesn't have a car. It was on that walk January 21 that Dianne Gordon from White Lake found a plastic bag outside a gas station on Highland Road.
Dianne went into the station and called the police. It turns out the cash/checks, which equaled $14,780, belonged to a couple that had gotten married earlier in the day!
Dianne told JJ & JoAnne Friday morning she never thought about keeping the money, and while she wants no credit for doing the right thing, her good deed is being rewarded. As of Friday morning, February 3, a Go Fund Me account set up by a friend of Dianne's has raised almost $40,000.
