Always enjoyable this time of the year is snow statue competitions. The recent event called Michigan Technological University Winter Carnival is amazing!
This is the 100 anniversary put together by Michigan Tech's Blue Key National Honor Society. The competition has two time tables for competition one day, and a week.
It's wild seeing all the devices they use to create the snow sculptures including irons and hair dryers. They get 200 inches of snow in that area. More here.
