You often hear about old message bottles discovered. This one making national news was discovered in a Michigan river. Dating back to 1926 the bottle was found in the Cheboygan River.
Jennifer Dowker cleaning the underside of a boat for her company Nautical North Family Adventures noticed it. The note says, "Will the person who finds this bottle return this paper to George Morrow Cheboygan, Michigan and tell where it was found?"
After using social media the daughter of the person creating the note in a bottle was found, "She emailed me pictures of the letter and as soon as I saw it, I knew it was my father's handwriting, and it was found in Cheboygan. He was born in Cheboygan and lived there until his 20s." UPI
