For hundreds of years an entire village in India uses a song for their names. The place is Knogthong which is categorize as one of the "Best Tourism Villages." It's also called "Whistling Village."
At birth they are given a song for name and an official name. "It is an expression of a mother’s unbridled love and joy at the birth of her child. It’s like a mother’s heart song, full of tenderness, almost like a lullaby."
