Bears are feeling more at home in social areas. A bear and cub were having a good time at a playground. Asheville fifth grade teacher Betsie Stockslager Emry, "This made my day. I love how the mama goes down the big slide and quickly runs to the smaller slide only to bear hug the little one as they make it to the bottom."
"The voices in the video are teachers enjoying the moment." Bears on campus is no surprise for students, "We often have bears visit: our school is in downtown Asheville, and the students are used to going into a perimeter lockdown when the families show."
I've even heard some people pet bears which is a safety risk. More here.
