Belle Isle has some history. Remember the Belle Isle Zoo? I'm sure you remember seeing the remains of the zoo. It opened in 1895. In 1947 it changed its name to Detroit Children’s Zoo.
There had been talks about bringing it back, that's not going to happen. I think they should use it to create a haunted attraction, That would get huge response. IMO, our Metro is the haunted house capitol of the world.
