We do a bunch of driving in Michigan. Based on much study including traffic, gas prices, car theft, plus auto repairs which most of mine are caused by potholes, Michigan is ranked at 43 as The Best State to Drive in.
Just a drive in the Ann Arbor area on US -23 between Willis and M-14 will blow your mind with its potholes that have been there for years.
Don't blame weather as our issue because Mid-Western States Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin are in the top ten. More here.
