A deer swimming in a harbor was reported to the United States Coast Guard in Charleston. They "leaped into action" and saved the young fawn. I know the place and the Coast Guard station is at that harbor. Hum, maybe it was trying to swim out to one of the barrier island beaches close by :).
They named it Bambi and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources is taking care of it. See more here.
