I'm sure many of us have Boblo memories. A documentary about Boblo will hit movie theatres in September. Called "Boblo Boats: A Detroit Ferry Tale," the boats were always a fun part of the amusement park visit.
The documentary has already been featured at the Freep Film Festival. Artistic director Kathy Kieliszewski spoke, "Boblo Island and the boats that took us there hold a special place in the hearts of many metro Detroiters, but this isn't just a nostalgia exercise. This film is about now and the people dedicated to preserving history and memories despite some extreme hurdles."
