It's always great to hear about lost dogs found especially even after many years. This dog was found 7-years after reported stolen in Florida.
The dog named Sgt. Pepper after being lost did show up on Craig's List in the "Found" section but someone besides the owner took it. When being brought into the Eaton County's shelter the chip revealed original owner, "Sgt Pepper's microchip contact information had been updated as recently as February 2020. [We were] able to contact the owner within minutes of having the dog in possession."
Sgt. Pepper was with these people less than 7-years, "Sgt Pepper had been living with a family for the last five years who were unaware of his microchip and stolen status. We are grateful for their understanding that Sgt Pepper had to be reunited with his original family, and we ask that people please be sensitive toward their situation."
