I've hade so much fun at drive-in theatres. There is only a one left in Detroit metro area. It's Ford-Wyoming Drive-in in Dearborn. It opened way back in 1950. I would often sit on the hood of my vehicle eating popcorn while watching a movie. Sitting in the back of a pick-up truck watching a movie is also fun.
In the late 50's we had over 3000. In our state of Michigan we have only a few. The first drive-in here opened in 1938 on the east side. They are fading away according to Sumner Redstone, "Drive-ins are rapidly becoming part of our nostalgic past. I foresee their extinction by the end of the decade." More here.
