This is the time of year drunk birds are noticed in Texas. They eat fermented berries and start flying in usual ways. Biologist Rachel Ricter spoke, "Because they eat predominantly berries, sometimes they eat berries that have fermented and are a little bit past their prime. Sometimes they tend to overindulge a little bit, which can get them intoxicated."
More reports of the intoxicated birds are coming in this season, "Maybe this year people are staying home more so they're able to see them more." Birds might be fun to party with. More here.
