City of Ann Arbor is recommending "foot tall lawns." Council Member, "No-Mow May" is mentioned to be for having healthy bees which helps with pollination. "Pollinator populations are in decline around the world due to habitat loss, alteration, fragmentation, as well as pesticides."
Grass is always tall in my lawn. I do that IMO to help protect it from a burn out and dry soil with more ants. Plus it can bring on the bees. I love honey! See more here.
