I'm sure you've heard of a coffee company using animal poop to make a pricey bizarre product. Poop from Civet cats has been used to enhance coffee beans. Now a coffee company is using the poop from Jacu birds in Brazil.

The birds are very picky at which coffee bean cherries they eat. That inspired the owner of a coffee plantation, “I watched open-mouthed from my living room as the Jacu bird selected only the ripest berries, leaving over half the bunch, even those that looked perfect to the human eye."

The result is a very expensive product called Jacu Bird Coffee.

It takes a lot to produce the product, including finding employees that will go out and search for Jacu bird poop. More here.
